SemiXthon
SemiXthon
North India's first biggest hardware hackathon
SemiXthon is a 10-hour offline hardware hackathon organized by Semicon DTU, in collaboration with the Vinod Dham Center of Excellence for Semiconductor and Microelectronics, Delhi Technological University.
The hackathon focuses on hands-on innovation in electronics, semiconductors, and hardware systems, aimed at providing a platform where students can ideate, design, and demonstrate impactful engineering solutions. SemiXthon emphasizes real-world relevance, practical implementation, and system-level thinking, encouraging participants to build functional, scalable hardware projects.
Participants can compete in the following electronics-centric tracks:
- Sustainable & Green Electronics
- Healthcare
- Human Device Interface
- Communication (Defense & Mission-Critical Systems)
- Digital Design & VLSI (Backend Focused)
- Open Track (Any innovative electronics hardware)
The event consists of three rounds:
- Online submission via Devfolio (PPT proposal)
- Offline presentation & demo (functional prototype and presentation)
- Final evaluation & advanced demo
SemiXthon aims to:
- Spark innovation in semiconductor and electronics design
- Bridge theoretical knowledge with real hardware implementation
- Expose participants to industry-level problem solving
- Build a community of hardware innovators
